Bought a TV from Crutchfield that unfortunately had dead pixels. Contacted the store, returned the TV, and got a replacement on the same day. The staff were extremely kind which added to the overall exceptional experience. Really glad we decided to buy local. The prices were identical to online retailers but the service was so much better. 10/10 would recommend.

Have bought from Crutchfield all my life. Always wanted to visit the store after I moved to VA from CA. Was in area for a conference at UVA. Stopped by with car I installed stereo that I brought from Crutchfield, adding the all important Android Auto. Great story about founder and car in lobby..they need to restore it. Nice service, great store layout with lots of interesting displays.

Crutchfield, the only place worth going for car audio. Purchased a new head unit and all the gear for a 2013 car. After install I had an interesting boot situation. I dealt with Tech support and we ran a few tests, they contacted the manufacturer, and manufacturer stated “Defective Unit/Too new of a model to really know what’s up”. I talked to tech support some more and went through my options for this unit. They offered to swap or, or change to a different model. I decided to do an exchange for a different model. Crutchfield, made a new harness, had it in the mail that day, and I received it 2 days later. Installing the different head unit was a snap and works perfectly. I used their return label and sent back the defective unit. Crutchfield stood by the products, had me run some tests, kept good notes so when I did call back, everyone knew the status and all tests that we did. I never waited on hold for more than 30 seconds, and everyone I dealt with was extremely knowledgeable. The customer service was top notch. And don’t even think about not getting a Ready Harness, pay the small fee, have them do the wiring for you, they do amazing work!

These people are freaking awesome, Great customer service and support; I’ve been a returning customer for the pass year and have nothing but good encounters with the staff…. Quick to respond an very knowledgeable when it comes to my car audio…. I wish we had this place in California, nothing but good things to say on this review… THANK YOU CRUTCHFIELD FOR THE QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! The story is below, but I had to edit this. Let me be clear; this never happens with big Corporations. The incident below was resolved. Not just resolved, but changed my review from a 1 star to a 5 star review. After the incident below, the store manager reached out to me directly. He apologized for this incident. This was a miscommunication based of some paperwork issues and he refunded my money. It’s not just about the Money though. The conversation I had with the Store Manager was professional, friendly, and above all else understood. They not responded, not only resolved the issue, they won back my business and recommendation to anyone I know that needs automotive assistance. Very happy to have changed this review. The salesman lied to me up front. His name was John. Told him I was overseas, that my wife would be taking the truck in, and he told me the cost for my two Garmin dash cams would be $320. I asked him if that was for the install kits and the labor he said yes. They charged my wife, while I’m overseas another $50 for the kit, then tried to explain to me that it’s double labor for an “abundance” of reasons if you don’t purchase the products from them. Let me be clear, this was a scam and Paul, the one I talked to ripped me off, lied to my wife. There is no reason for double labor cost, especially when I got a call 40 minutes early that the truck was done. Never using them again. They would lie to Jesus to get him on the cross and make him pay double for the installation. Despicable

It is rare to receive this kind of customer service! You can chat online with them but you can also speak to a real agent with out delay. Best of all, their agents are knowledgeable about the products they sell. I will definitely continue to do business with them.

Knowledgeable and friendly people. Fast shipping, included a wiring harness. I bought 4 ohm speakers rather than 2 ohm, and I was able to return it. I ended up getting the replacements from crutchfield, they were the same price as amazon, with better customer service, returns, and I just like the people and want to support the business. I always check the prices myself to make sure they're not more expensive, but in this case, same price, and way better service. I like this place

I purchased on-line a turntable cartridge, but what was sent was obviosly an open box item in pieces. Seeking help, I went to the Crutchfield store and store manager Paul Kavanaugh (no less!) determined to make it right and in 24 hours he had a new, perfect cartridge for me. A 100% experience in the end thanks to Paul!

Super helpful and friendly staff. Very knowledgeable on car audio components and compatibility between after market brands/auto makes/models. And the prices aren't as painful as they use to be. 5 out of 5 stars, highly recommend the Charlottesville Crutchfield store.
